This session will focus on integrating best practices for teaching historical thinking, claim-evidence-reasoning (CER) frameworks, and crafting concise, well-supported answers. Designed for secondary social studies teachers, the session aligns with Texas TEKS and prepares students for success on the 8th and 11th grade STAAR exams. Participants will leave with practical tools and resources to strengthen writing instruction and deepen student understanding of historical content.
